Chrissy Ching, Freelance Horticulturalist based in Malvern, servicing the Cotswolds, South West counties, the three counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, and the West Midlands
Chrissy Ching is an experienced Garden Designer and lectures in Horticulture and Garden History. Based in Malvern, Chrissy has created garden design projects, for clients across the Cotswolds, South West counties, the three counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire and the West Midlands.
A knowledgeable plantswoman, Chrissy has amassed a wealth of experience working on both small and large projects and has designed RHS medal winning show gardens.
In addition to her lecturing role, which is very much her core business, Chrissy offers Landscape Design, Planting Plans, Project Management, Consultancy, Training & Assessing, and her ‘Garden with Me’ service.
Chrissy gained an MSc. in the Conservation of Historic Gardens and Cultural Landscapes from Bath University and a BSc. in Horticulture from Pershore College and Worcester University. She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), a level 4 in Quality Assurance (IQA) an Assessors Award (A1).
Chrissy is passionate about many aspects of horticulture especially plants, garden history and design.
She promotes the idea that “there is not much point in having knowledge if you don’t share it!”
Pursuing the role of teacher is important to her and has taught Horticulture at a number of organisations including Pershore College, Hartpury College, Bristol University and Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
